Teeth Whitening should only be carried out by a trained Dental Health Professional.
Teeth Whitening is a very popular, safe and effective method of lightening the teeth. As we age our teeth naturally darken . A variety of factors can speed up this discoloration, eternal staining from our diet such as red wine, tea and coffee and also internal staining of the tooth tissue. Whitening toothpastes will only remove surface stains. Tooth Whitening uses a bleaching process to remove the discoloured compounds inside the teeth and gives them a lighter more youthful colour.
You will be assessed at the consultation appointment to see if your mouth is suitable for this procedure.
At our clinic we offer two ways of Teeth Whitening.
Option A:
Home-Based Teeth Whitening. Custom Tray System
This teeth whitening method involves having impressions taken of your upper and lower teeth so that custom made, thin plastic guards are constructed to hold the teeth whitening gel to whiten your teeth at home. Our dentist will give you detailed instructions on how to carry out the process at home .
This Teeth Whitening process takes longer than in surgery-based whitening, but the investment is lower.
